Short wheelbase Astro/Safari pop-top?

Postby John B [OP] » November 2nd 2014, 12:38pm

Does anyone know of a company that will install a pop-top and bed on a short wheelbase Safari? Thanks. John B

I don't know for sure but Derek at Colorado Camper Vans gets his roofs from a company down south a bit (Loveland maybe) and may be able to order a bobbed one? He is really cool. Fiberine outside of Long Beach does custom roofs if I am not mistaken and St the very least maybe you could get a bobbed roof and have another company do the lift mechanism and conversion?

I didn't see any short with pop top. A custom job there will no go down than 5 o 6000. Check out the roof top tents like james baroud o autohome can be a good solution for you

no such thing as short wheel based. all Astros/Safaris have same wheelbase. The extended body models are about 10 inches longer at the rear after the axle.
