Adding a 4th door (Driver's-side rear door)

I think when you installed those lambo doors you crossed the steering configurator, resulting in reverse-style steering. The thing you do to be fashionable...

Oh resurrecting an old post. Apologies!
So at some point down the road I would love doors on both sides.
I came across this thread while researching options.
First I thought this is almost impossible (and im a die hard optomist lol)
I could fab up a place for a door but the issue is finding slider componants and such for that side. I could... Completely fab the door from scratch but thats a pain in the butt and im not that motivated.
An easy option would be dual barn doors on both sides...
Or slider on one and a single barn door on the drivers side.
All in all it shouldnt be a huge deal, just tedious.

Im curious what other thoughs/ideas?

Left side doors from other vehicles that match the contour of this van?

Yeah... here's the easiest approach, I even wrote a procedure for it.

Step 1: Unscrew oil filter, remove car from overhead.
Step 2: Buy a Venture van, place on top of oil filter.
Step 3: Install oil filter

How about putting the rear bench in backwards then you can put two kids in the back -simple and to the point.

Its not about kids in my case lol. Just something I want to do for the sake of doing it.
But its low on my list.
Someday if I have lots of time on my hands I may attempt it.

Personally I like the idea of double barn doors on both sides.
Imo quick and easy and kind of unique.

I cant see doors like that being difficult to open in tight spaces... O_o
I mean... If your that close... Nobodies getting into the swinging passenger door either right?

Might need to play with the seat belts a little but this would be a good solution to the original problem.

I used to reverse the back one all the time for the kids soccer games. Never used while driving that way, but when it was getting cold out, it was a nice way to back up to the field and have some comfortable seating and wind protection.

Funny thing is I had no idea if the rear bench could be put in backwards but the picture of the kids in the rear seat of the wagon is exactly what came to mind and the fact that it would be easier to do then adding a door. So thanks for the replys to my idea. It made me feel good and gave me another custom idea for my van. I will work out the details of my custom idea and post them later. Mark
