2004 Astro sliding door problem

2004 Astro sliding door problem

Postby robrink [OP] » May 6th 2008, 2:05am

Hi,

I have a 2004 astro cargo van. It has manual locks/windows. I'm having a problem with the door locking. The lock is fine, but after taking the inside panel off, I noticed one of the metal rods going to the back of the door has come off. It is the one that opens/closes the white latch that keeps the door closed. I can manually reach inside the door and flip the latch up and down to lock and unlock the door. My question is, how do you get that metal rod re-attached to the latch? I cant really see the latch, just a little bit of it. Does the rod just clip in to the white latch?

Thanks
