Rather than silicone, you might consider using the following, I chose to use "Black Polyurethane Roof and Flashing Sealant" based on a jeep thread where they were addressing leaking windshields.

If you chose this, but a better caulking gun, this stuff comes out a bit tough so a cheap gun is worthless, I think I paid 15USD for a better gun, and it was worth every penny.

Checked the van before heading to work this morning....and the ceiling was dry!

There seemed to be slight moisture but nothing like the droplets that were everywhere every morning. I'm going to get rid of the front half carpet just in case it's wet and because why not. I'm already doing the back, might as well start fresh on the whole floor. In the end i want to do vinyl/laminate, but still be able to put my seats in. Most pics and videos I've found are people getting rid of seats in the process. It would be nice to find someone who kept their seats and added some type of insulation and wood look flooring.
