I didn't even know there was a "kit" for that...I definitely would have installed it before my prostatectomy.

I'm on Eligard right now. look it up. not fun.

doghouse off for the first time, in preparation for next week's work. it's pretty clear to me why it's running so good. but, I have no point of reference for comparison. have a close look, please, and let me know if you see anything, beyond the obvious tune-up, that is already replaced or will need looking at while it's in the shop. thanks in advance.

Looks pretty well-maintained to me. LIM, spider, nut kit - oh, you should have a new spider harness as well. They do get brittle and go bad and you have to have the plenum off, so might as well be now.

thank you, and I wish I'd been paying attention, because I'd already have it on the shelf. ACDELCO PT2385

$19.51 delivered Monday from Amazon. I just got a $20 gift card for reviewing a dash cam, so woohoo!

I barely got my injector core authorization on time from RA, today was the last day, and I have until the 23rd to return it, so double woohoo!

lucky timing, the water pump going out when it did, and without any drama too. I had lost track of the core timeline.

with the passenger seat and doghouse out of the way, I thought...

"3 more screws and I can finally see under there and fix it."
IMG_20200808_162440.jpg
yeah, it was dangling, and I couldn't get it back on and set by feel alone.

remembering what gear i'm in was smoking my short-term memory.

edit: yesterday I bragged in chat about my "big repair"...it was a jab at myself, a joke, for not hunkering down and doing the things I'm still physically able to do.

It's CPI. That's the only plenum I've seen for CPI - it's what I have on my '93 Bravada and my '93 Astro. I don't think yours has the IMTV (hockey-puck on top, paddle in the plenum) in the center, instead having a plate, but that's the only difference I see.

confirmation is always a good thing. I sorta knew I was good because I have the blue/red harness wires coming out of the intake, but at a different location than illustrated in my books.

this is another instance where my early 95 FSM isn't an exact match with my late 95 van. I'm often tempted to buy a 96 manual, but I have no clue if I should have it or a 94 edition. or, all three years to cover everything? nah...that's what I have you guys for, and why I love this forum.

re: the different intake tuning...do i have a L35 W from when it was an option, or is it the standard equipment version? if it's a clue, I have OBD-1. not that it matters, but I am curious.

with my "weird" mix and match van, it seems I'm always curious about something

Well, I never noticed that, unbelievably - it was the diff. in vacuum stuff and the distributor.
Someone shopping for parts or going to the JY for these 2 years or more is going to have a surprise...
Another surprise is the Temp Sender or Switch.
According to Leeann and others familiar w CPI stuff - some blocks evidently have it between cyls 1 & 3 - our '92 CPI has it between 3 & 5 - readily accessible w/ doghouse off.
And it is called 2 different things ( I guess it depends on ? ) Haha, maybe how we hold our tongue or light the flaming hoops to jump thru.

... but I digress

And I STILL don't agree w/ augi about tearing into that intake when there is nothing wrong ( ? ).
You/he, are/is asking for, a multitude of disasters with your Beloved Van if you proceed to load it up w/ inferior new parts.

Just Saying. And now I will quit harping on - "if it ain't broke, I'm bored and need stuff to talk of..."

Prolly too late anywho.

Can anyone explain:

" Mystery Science Theater 3000 "

?

...specifically ( and keep in mind that I tuned it in just a sec ago for the 1st time ) and...
- don't be too incredulously surprised, the episode where they ( some guy and 2 robots? ) watch a bigfoot or movies from behind shadow/silhouette like.

Really - what/who exactly is the demographic...?
It was 2 and a half hours long - OMG - I stayed on it for about 15 loser minutes.
Portland, Seattle, Austin, LA, Frisco ( love ya Lumpy )... should I continue... oh.
