more oil is not bad when you build more power from the engine. serves as an example for cooling the engine, and I have installed a high-performance oil pump so that it has more oil available

In the summer I already started porting a cylinder head, here are the pictures













The first head has already been worked and now the second head is on.

So the oil pump is now ready, an HV pump with an adapted suction pipe.





I thought about how to do the trigger wheel for a long time, and since there are no smart ones for these motors, it comes from own production as always.
Since I don't feel like wasting material and testing it until I get the finished trigger wheel, the prototype comes from the 3-D printer.
This is the first blank I need to determine the position of the sensor and whether the position of the wheel is correct.









It already looks great, fits great, then you can now give the thing teeth.
After much deliberation, I'll use a trigger wheel as a 60-2.

How did you removed the plastic parts inside the tail light housings? I tried to get them out of a junk vehicle and they were so brittle they broke into pieces even after I removed the rivets and glue. The ones on my 89 were broken when I bought my van years ago. Do you have a source for new ones? Thanks <Mark

Hello Mark .
Unfortunately, no . I'll make these things in metal. I did not get new ones and it is difficult to get them from a scrap vehicle. Especially because these vehicles are rarely scrapped here in Germany. I've already done the final throw for the keepers, but I haven't started yet.

The cylinder heads. I already started to grind one in the summer.
But I didn't finish it because other things were more important. But now I've started to get the heads down again























Both cylinder heads are sanded to the maximum what is possible

If you are wondering how long it will take before your head looks like this, just grind 1 1/2 weeks per head

But they are not installed as they were delivered. All valves are reworked and polished to a high gloss









The valves are all polished by hand, you get bored

The inlet valves and the outlet valves are finally polished.







Now it can finally go on, the valves find their way into the cylinder head after the valve seats have been re-cut

and the valves fell asleep on the valve seat





The valve springs / wedges / plates are of course also made by Comp Cams











So the cylinder heads are ready, now prime and paint and then you can continue to assemble the engine
