I bought this 2000 AWD from a friend of my nephew. It has 200,000 miles on it but it also has a new motor. I removed all of the plastic from the rear end and pulled carpet to start from scratch.
First questions are where does the rear AC drain to and what would be the best thing to insulate the floor and cover with.
Thanks
There is a drain right there under the A/C - blind buttheads have found it - no problem. They have advantages, you know.
Use your favotite search blah, blah to find floor stuff...
"hello, Florinne, what do most use to insulate n' cover their Astro or Safari floor."
If you use g00gull, add "astrosafari.com" to the question.
Mine drains directly below the unit. Floors are wide open, lots of insulation options. I put 3/4 inch horse stall rubber mats in mine. The Matt's are indestructible, but quite heavy. Good luck.
I looked under the unit and all I saw was the high and low pressure lines, I'll look again. And I believe I actually have a rubber horse trailer mat, I didn't think of that, thanks
