the place where I sprayed the car is at work. that large building on the fourth and fifth photo is where the car was inspected for the license plate.the car came from Belgium and was imported to the Netherlands

today I found a nice set of wheels. they are only in Germany. and with the current corona rules I don't know if I can pick them up like this. I'm going to see if that is possible tomorrow.

the clear corner lights have arrived. this week I am going to a scrap yard to get an overhead console. I also want to get an analog counter there with a piece of cable harness. and a set of electric windows. then take the bus out of storage next week. then i will update the photos again

The "Clears" sure will give your Van an interesting look - seems there are different rules for them all over.

When looking for Overhead Consoles ( OC ) or Communication Center or Driver Information Center ( GM term )...
- there are 2 display types - the one w/ "MODE" button is the "Trip Computer" style.
- many other GM models used them, S10, Bravada, SUVs in general.
- the display Unit itself is removeable once the Console is down ( 1 screw in front, 2 under one of the light bezels ).
- Compass, Computer, Temp, in/mm
- there are some short OCs also - seen in pickups - same displays/buttons


Nice looking front end on that " SaFrankenstro " or is it " AstFrankenFari "... LOL

Its nice to see a fellow European (well I am until January ) on the site.

Thats a great van you have there and a nice modern colour.

My mother has a home in Belgium and we are regular visitors in the Maastricht area. I didn't think there would be many Astros around but on my first trip one shot past me on the motorway and I parked next to one when we went shopping!

i hope to pick up the astro from storage this week .
then it must be prepared for the MOT.
but now we have a lockdown with the corona.
so i dont know if i can go to the garage and whether i can buy parts , because the shops are closed
