Dutch Door Storrage

Postby WinterisComing [OP] » January 5th 2021, 9:35pm

Happy New Year everyone.,

Has anyone removed the panels from your dutch doors to use the space for storage?

I don't need the speakers and think it would be good to have the extra space.

Pic if you got em,

I have not done that yet. There have been pictures in various posts about such mods, but I would not know where to find them now. You will just need to go through a lot of the old posts on camper builds...or maybe somebody knows where to find the pictures.
I am planning to add a thin shelf that folds ( up or down-not sure yet which way, but probably hinged at the bottom) to use as a cook/prep space or whatever other purpose I decide.... maybe even one on both doors.

I recall something that looked like high tech shoe holders - lots of pockets.
.

"Ban gerrymandering" out 1 side, then says, "We really need to get rid of the electoral college for starters, there is no way in hell that the person that receives fewer votes wins, simply crazy."
So only CAL, ILL & NY Elects??

That sounds 'handy'. I've seen many Jeep guys have little soft 'catch-alls' in many places.
here are lots of options.
There is a fair amount of space inside the back doors, for storage is one desires to go that route.
I had one rear door panel (P/S) off for one dusty trip.
There was a LOT of dust came in around the license plate area. It is not sealed to the outside, at least it was not, on my van. It is now!
There is still a fair amount of dust infiltrates around the back doors on dusty roads, but that was the worst source I found.

I have not yet done this but am planning to -- currently, i have the interior panels removed and some aftermarket speakers installed. My original plan was to leave the speakers, but after staring at it for long enough I decided I'll go without speakers there. There will be some metal to cut on both, and keep in mind on the passenger side the license plate pocket thing will take up some space unless you choose to modify that as well.

I cleared out and cleaned up the rear doors to use for storage eventually - pics in my build thread somewhere from this past year.

I want to be able to insulate the doors somewhat, but also have room for storage in there. I've thought about it a lot, and I think I'm just going to do some poly foam and reflectix for insulation (though I am considering a foam backed cloth material - https://www.sailrite.com/Seabrook-Lite- ... -Headliner), and sew some sort of useful organizer to hold various items. Then drop down tables or something of the sort I bet
