Thanks, here's some ideas of how I did it...

This shows what the "L" channels look like... They are 3/4" tall and 1 1/4" wide...

I angled the light portion back so you couldn't see the LEDs they are very bright.

This is what I used for the lights, it has double sided tape on the back, I just pulled the backing off the light tape and mounted it on the channels.

Here are some close up shots of the photos I posted earlier. I started the tape in the front center rail and just ran it around the channel...

I didn't do the HOTWHEELS logo... this is how she looks now. It will look like this until I inherit it... Then she'll get a complete paintjob with flames.

Your work, paint and graphics are awesome but like CR up there I've never been a fan of branding. My van, if I put a name on her it would be my own, your Brushfire logo is a good looking accent and puts your best foot (or brush) forward.

Yesterday I put tires on the AWD...

I ended up putting BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 245/70R16. I really like the look of them, and they are quiet in the cab. I am running 38 PSI and they handle nicely. The guy at the tire shop wondered if I would sell the van. He never realized you could get an AWD Astro, let alone lift it.

The only reason I replaced them is because my Firestone Destination tires were failing. They had been on the van for a little over 3 years, and a little over 35,000 miles. My dealer got Firestone to warrantee them. It all worked out in the end. I finally got the tires I wanted. On all 4 tires the sidewalls were "de-laminating" I have never seen a tire do this...

Looking very nice. What lifting did you have on this thing? and what fender trimming have you done?

[EDIT] Ok I actually read the thread. So 2" lift with another 1" torsion on front and rear. And new leaf springs?

I've got a 2" OLV kit, and I'm looking for new rubber and wheels. Having a hard time deciding.

I understand the more common 235/75 R15 size is about a 28.9" total diameter, whereas your 245/70 R16 is about 29.5" diameter.

By the way the pinstriping is amazing. The color pops out so nicely.

I added a few lights...

The outside lights are also turn signals.

This is in the trailer hitch and plugs into the trailer plug... it has the 3 running lights, and when you turn left or right, the lights between the running lights blink, and the brake runs them all...

I just re-painted the front bumper, roof and rear doors... The clear was quite messed up. Now I'm happy with it for a few more years. When I retire the white one, and inherit this one, I repaint the rest of the truck...

Hey if I'm going to drive a 20 year old van... It's going to at least have a nice paint job.

I added this to the rear for the kids. It's a standard 19" TV that I made a stand for that pivots from the rear to the front. The passenger can start the movie, and swing the TV to the back for the kids to watch. When we aren't on vacation, the TV will be in our Kitchen...

Hi,
could someone please tell me how to do it so the front signal/turning lights shine so bright orange? Id love to have that too but I have just like half shining light yellow by stock.

I'm having some issues... Any help would be appreciated. I've had this Astro for 6 years. I put a 4 inch Overland lift on it when I got it. Installed 30" tires on it as well... With in the last month it's developed a bad vibration/drone/harmonic resonance... The entire drive line is solid. No movement. I've rotated the tires, no better. It's OK at slower speeds, at about 60 it starts to hum... getting really bad at about 70-75-ish... any ideas? Never had any issues before...

My 2002 has a rotational noise from the rear that changed pitch as speed would increase or decrease. Shop changed both rear wheel bearings and it went away some but still noticeable. They said its the pinion gear and didn't charge anything for both wheel bearings. On your vibration- I'm thinking U-joint(s).

Rotational noise.probably a bearing,somewhere.Being retired mechanic,best way to check it out,take to a garage that has a drive on hoist(like a front end alignment rack),then the weight of the van can be lifted by the rear axle,and the front lower A frames,so stuff hanging down do not add other noises.90% of the time,a good mechanic can tell you what is wrong,in minutes.

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted... has anyone mounted BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 Radial Tire -30x9.50R15's on their lifted Astro?

I have a 4" lift from Overland... Will these fit?

I got some 15" rims and want to make sure my tires will fit.

That's only 0.8" more in diameter than you 245/70/16's you had on there, people with a 4" lift do it all the time
