Fantastic Roof Vent for 2005 Astro

Fantastic Roof Vent for 2005 Astro

Postby GuyS [OP] » June 8th 2016, 3:56am

I just ordered a Fantastic Roof Vent for my 2005 Astro Passenger van. It looks like the roof has a flat area ready for a roof vent to be installed. I am wondering if anyone else has installed the Fantastic in their passenger van? Do I have to remove the head liner? Is that easy to do. It looks like there is a rib and the venting for heat/ac that might conflict the vents exact location. Can anyone who has done this before provide any help?

It has been done before, search using google instead of the built in search.

I didn't use a fantastic vent but I have done it in that spot. I suppose you don't HAVE to remove the headliner, but if you don't, it will catch on fire and remove itself... :angry-extinguishflame:

Obviously,if the rib and air duct are in the way, then cut them until they are no longer in the way. Oooor, put it somewhere else.

I think someone figured out the exact spot where both could coexist, search fantastic fan.

I suppose you could cap off the pass side vents and just have 1 or 2. Guy you are very creative, I think you can engineer a solution, perhaps a vent in place of the speaker? Maybe reroute things elsewhere?

The title of this thread is literally called "fantastic roof vent install on 2005 astro passenger van". Did you even try searching?
