Door hinge bushing/washer - where to get etc?

Hello All,

The lower washer/bushing on the lower hinge on my driver's side is missing, and it makes it a b%#($ to close to the door.

Where can I get a new one?

Any suggestions on how to replace?

I have a decent mechanic who can help.

You should be able to get a new hinge pin with bushings (2) at your local auto parts store. You need to take the door off both hinges so you might as well pick up 2 sets and replace all the bushings for both the top and bottom hinge.

It's helpful to have 2 people and also helpful to have a floor jack to support the door from the bottom and hold it as you remove the hinge pins and then try to put them back in. There's also some helpful YouTube videos that show how to do it.

I use a 10" or 12" socket extension and a big hammer (BFH) to drive the pins out and then back in.
