Front door panels

Front door panels

Postby Wagon Master [OP] » August 9th 2011, 6:49pm

Will Gen 2 front door panels (1996+, with the power window and mirror switches) direct bolt on a Gen 1 (1994)?

Thanks

Yes there is a thread on here with pics , I don't recall the switches in the thread , but that is easy to do since all the wiring is easily accessible

Could someone post a photo, please, of either or both the Gen I and/or II door panels?
I have a Gen I (89) with elec window and door lock switches in the door panel. The
elec remote mirror switches are on the dash, above the headlight switch, left side of dash.

Hey Lump,

Go here...

...and go about 3/4 down the page. He's got a great shot of a Gen 2 driver's door. Click to zoom.

My 94 has the same door panel as yours, but my mirror control is in the center dash, above the radio...

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2122131/1 ... ger/page-2

...about 80% of the way down the page is a center dash shot for a fully loaded van. Mine is the same.

Having the window switches and mirror controls on the door, plus the door speakers, makes the Gen 1 to Gen 2 conversion a winner in my book. Plus, it will give me a place for the power folding mirror switch.
