can you still buy the cable parts that put the rear bed up and down? this is on my astro 1995.electric motor still running but little of no movement? :shrug:

Those electric beds were not stock Astro parts, you'd have to look at conversion van part sources. Many conversion van companies are out of business so you might not have any luck with them. Do you know what conversion van yours is? Or maybe the seat manufacturer? Then we might get you a lead on where to get replacement parts. Of course there is always the junkyard.

Mine are manual. both in the 1995 and the 2000. I think electric stuff is cool but short lived in most respects. Manual always works may need some lubrication at the pivots once in awhile but always work. Even electrics may need some lube at the pivots for lasting operation. I can open or close both of mine with one hand.

Probably want to pull it apart and see what is actually worn/broken. Take measurements and pictures, there are places that still sell those parts.
