how much space

how much space

Postby Rockridge [OP] » April 17th 2018, 12:35am

can anyone tell me how what the space is from the rear doors and the back of a sleeper bench in a conversion van. Distance at seat height and again at the top of the seat back, I'm assuming this would be the narrowest area. Do these types of seats move on tracks like a typ passenger van? I'm working on a CAD drawing to design my interior...

Thanks

So its the same as my passenger van then? Didn't know if there was a different set up to allow the bench to fold in a conversion van. Thanks for the link though, that will help alot.

Im planning on ditching the middle bench and replacing it with a desk/table space, maybe some kind of expandable desk surface. I'll use the rear bench to sit on. Behind the bench will be tool / equipement storage. I'll need to find a home for a printer/copier, maybe a microwave, some office supplies etc.

The folding bed/bench in my van, the seat lifts up and slides forward as the back comes down. No tracks like the front seats, it is bolted to the floor. To me, there isn't a whole lot of space between it and the rear doors, but that might just be my opinion.
