Factory rubber or vinyl front floor liner?

Factory rubber or vinyl front floor liner?

Postby SC-Surfer [OP] » May 25th 2019, 8:21am

Did Chevy/GM ever ship the Astro with rubber or vinyl flooring up front instead of carpet?

If so does anyone have a part number or any other info? Carpet in a surfer van is just not a great choice.

Thanks.

Cargo vans have rubber front and back floor liners, but I don't know what the part number is.

Go to a junk yard and get the rubber floor liners from a cargo van.

Look on Ebay if you can't find any in the junkyard. I have been watching for NOS floormats to become available for my Galaxie for months and that rubber floor stuff always pops up in the search for my vehicle, so they may have it for yours. I have two cargo vans with the rubber in the front. Many came that way, if you can check the junkyard periodically you'll eventually find it.

I've been wanting a cargo, front floor mat myself.
Junkyards are pretty far afrom me.
LKQ yards will say the date a vehicle got there.
So I blow it off if a van has been there over a month.
But I may just be over thinking it.
Figured a good mat wouldn't last long in yard.
And don't want to drive 2hrs and get skunked.

Any members have pics of their cargo front mat?
I've never seen good pics of one.
Cargo dog house is smaller than a passenger on ones I've seen.
So may need some trimming to go in a passenger van?
And maybe some other surprises?

Thought if I put questions here the OP may get something out of it.

I don't think the engine cover is a different size, just the coverings. They use the same body, just different options.
