Twisting key slightly to remove from door locks it once more

Postby pottsitive [OP] » July 19th 2020, 4:48pm

Whenever I go to unlock my sliding door, I put the key in, rotate it clockwise, and it unlocks. However, when I slightly move the key back counterclockwise to remove it before I physically open the door, it will slide the lock back up just slightly enough to a point where I can’t open it. It’s not terribly inconvenient because it just means that I need to keep the key in while opening the door, and then take it out. Still annoying though. Any thoughts?

I don't know if lubing the cylinder from outside will help, but I know I'd be trying it before going in.
