Dutch door struts

I need to replace the struts on my newly acquired Astro.
Can anyone recommend a particular brand, or should I pony up for OEM units?
Looks like the generics don't have the rod end/lower connection bit, I'm missing one so may need OEM.

Also, I noticed a wire on each at the top, what are these?

one is an electrical fail-safe integrated into the dutch-door actuator circuit, the other is part of the courtesy light system. both of mine were deleted by a PO, and everything works fine, but I cannot tell you how it was accomplished.

Ah, thanks for that.
I just pulled the trigger on a pair of struts off Ebay that appear to include the rod ends, and quite a bit cheaper than OEM at $45 a pair shipped.

I got them yesterday, the above linked ones, got them installed and the wires transferred. Was fairly easy and seem to work good...
Well great compared to what was on there lol
