95 DASH

Does anyone know if the dashes from the 96 and up vans will fit the 95 van? I know they don't fit the 94 and down, but the 95 is a second Gen, but it has a first gen dash.

Apparently none of us know...
I have a '95, and I do know that even thought it's SUPPOSED to be a gen 2, it still shares a LOT of gen 1 traits....occasionally I'll go try to rob something off it for one of the other 2, and low and behold, not even close!
As for the dash,it may be a matter of taking all the brackets and such, and doing a bit of adapting.

So, is the 95 a gen1 with a gen2 front cap? or is it a gen 1.5 and totally differnt from both vans. The inside is gen1, but the outside is gen2....

im pretty sure it will fit only the gen 1 van's dash because the 95 is a transition year which has the exterior of a second gen and the interior of a first. Pics will be helpful. Also, are you talking about the whole dash or the cluster? Ill post a pic of my 97 if your 95 looks like it that means it will work. Also, that means you have a modded dash (not factory).

No my van is still stock. The 1995 van has the old gen1 style interior, but looks like the newer vans (gen2) on the outside. I had heard that on gen2 vans ,the pillars or something were different from the gen1s, so the dash wouldn't swap. However the 1995 is not completely gen1 or gen2. I am about to do my interior, and wondered if I could replace my old dash with the newer looking dash.

The basic answer is no, they are not interchangeable.

Having said that, you could always try, but it's easier and more cost effective to find a '96 and up van.

It's not just the dash that's different, almost everything under the dash and on the firewall is different between the Gen1 and Gen2 chassis.

Yeah anything can be done with a big enough hammer right! I guess I'll just recover the current dash then. Thanks for the insights

Can't say about a '95, but I have a '99 that I need to replace the dash in. Anyone have any idea what year vans I need to check out for one, and how hard is it to swap the dash out??
