Rear AC Liine Routing

Rear AC Liine Routing

Postby astro99 [OP] » August 1st 2013, 7:46pm

Hi, All: Is anyone knowledge about the routing for lines to the rear AC. I'm wondering because I need to premanitly remove some side paneling on my 98 and I'm wondering if I'm going to have issues w/ rear ac plumbing.

We just got done looking for leaks in my 2000 Safari, and the '98 should be similar...

It runs alongside the floor, underneath the cabin, on the driver's side and pops up at the evaporator at the rear driver's side next to the rear door. From there, it is evap/fan and the ductwork going behind the speaker in the pillar to the top rear.

Hopefully, that helps!

The high side line shoots along the passenger wheel well, over the transmission to the drivers side. The low side comes from the drivers side of the transmission, routes under the floor until about where the filler door is and then runs along the length of the van to the drivers rear where it meets up with the rear evaporator core.
A temporary fix usually becomes a permanent solution, therefore it does not exist.
