Overhead Console

I just install a overhead console in my 2000 astro..temp works, but I can not get the compass out of CAL mode..I been drving it arould in circle per manual instruction.compass will change directions while circling but seemd to be locked in CAL mode.. The console is a plain TEMP-COMPASS type. any help is great;y appreicTED

Is it a factory unit or an aftermarket one?

it a factory astro van overhead..Iam thinking the wiring could be wrong...installed in a 2000 asto that never had a console

What wires did you hook up?

Sounds like it is not getting a speed signal.

there are six wires plugged into the TEMP/COMPASS led display...what two I need for the compass to work..the temp sensor works..I think one is a dimer control, which I do not need..what I can't find is a wiring chart for the console

Thanks for your quick response...I replaced the sensor unit and it works fine now...found one it the local bone yard...

what sensor unit? IM trying to install mine into a 2001 gems safari cargo and i can't get the display to light up at all?
