What wires did i just cut?

I was cutting this piece off since it was just dangling and thought there was no reason for it anymore, van was in a accident. Rubber just inside of sliding door

None. It's just reinforcement to keep the molding kinda clamped on and maintain shape etc.

Oh good, i turned the van on and everything electrical was working so i figured it serves no purpose, but now that i know it does nothing im glad
