Annoying Dash Rattle

I have a bad rattle which seems to be coming from the passenger side dash on my 01 Safari. (Sounds just like a loose glove box door, but of course there is no glovebox door!)I have taken the console and passenger side knee bolster off and can't find anything loose. Also can't find anything on engine bay side of firewall. I guess next step is to take off passenger side air bag and see if there is anything behind it. I have read to disconnect battery for 30 minutes and remove airbag fuse. Does anyone know where that fuse is? (Doesn't seem to be in underhood fuse block.) Also, is there something in this area that is notorious for rattling? TIA, Charles

Check the heat shield on the exhaust manifold.Thats one of my annoying rattles when I hit a bump.Another check the seat tracks if one side is not locking down it will rattle.

It might be the heater /A/C duct that is rattling , it runs up in there and maybe loose , you can remove the glove box and dash faceplate to see better in that area,
fuse 10 is air bag

check the "ashtray" ( I use mine for change, but it's always rattling)

Thanks all, I will pursue leads tomorrow as weather warms up and I have a buddy to drive while I hold ear close to dash.

chevymaher-will check both those. Is heatshield on exhaust manifold at side of engine, or further downstream on lead pipe?
phantom-I will tape all the duct joints together and secure them. When you say airbag fuse is fuse 10, you might mean 10 amp? and if so, where is it? doesn't seem to be in main fuse block in engine compartment. I seem to recall seeing more fuses around steering column inside passenger compartment.
revles-I have what I call the console (containing the glove box and ashtray) off and yes the ashtray does rattle when it is installed if it isn't pushed in very hard.

Right on exhaust manifold two halves pop riveted together around it.On mine pop rivets came loose.Just tap on it with hand it sings anyway just adds a rattle when they loose.

I was looking at the owners manual and it was fuse location # 10 I believe , fuse box under dash up by the firewall to the left .

Thanks to everyone who helped. Chevymaher-you were right on about the seat track. I would have sworn the rattle was in the dash, but when I finally got a buddy to ride with me to listen, amazingly the rattle was gone! He moved from the passenger seat to the back and it was back. You could hit the (empty) seat hard at the headrest and reproduce the rattle That was after he had ridden in for about a fifteen minute ride over some of the bumpier streets.
I tried to wiggle the seat with my hands and didn't really feel anything that seemed to be loose in the track. But after running the seat front to back a couple of times, and wiggling my butt to be sure what ever kind of latch there is down there had clicked into place, rattle seems to be gone. Thanks again!
