Postby chevymaher [OP] » March 15th 2011, 10:13pm

Made by dyno-max (Thrush) has all inlet sizes we need 2.25 2.5 solves the debate over X-pipe muffler fitting under the vans. All in one awsome package or at least I think so.But then again who am I? :layrubber: http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.php?muffler=ultraflox

I like those & they sound good! Lots of guys are using them for their X pipe and still have two mufflers out back too. :layrubber:

it's stright through perferations that i would think give off an undesired tone. adding mufflers would help that tone thing.

I have only heard it on Crown Vics used as the X pipe then two nice mufflers behind that, so its always sounded good to me. I wonder what it sounds like it someone uses it just as there only muffler......

It just seems a bit gimicky to me....something new to sell.
If you have room for that in addition to a real muffler..you have room for a real X or H configuration, which works with solid pipe, not perforated, which would alter the energy upon entry.

I recently seen an exhaust that had mufflers on thier side next to each other. There plenty of room for that with an X pipe on the vans. The dynomax type which are compact to begin with.

If this Dynamax x muffler sounds anything like the regular Dynamax mufflers i would buy it in a second !
Nice find .
I think i'm going to end up getting a regular x pipe with 2 dynomax mufflers on mine.
Thanks chevymaher

it would be loud..... annoying loud on a dd. but on the other hand the perforations have sound canceling, so it might be ok. still not for a dd.

Might as well get a regular x pipe if you have to get mufflers with it.
Thanks for the info cowboy.

np. my van is teetering on annoying. i'm thinking of toning it down a bit with just a resinator. i just don't like the sisi tone of the 4.3. it went away and i don't want it to come back.
