Which catalytic converter

I'm going to get the Gibson cat back exhaust system for my 2001 AWD SLT Safari.
Which converter will flow the best - Eastern or Magnaflow?
Are they direct fit or do they need welding or anything?
I got the K & N air filter and ordered the Corvette servo and a tranny cooler.
This is my first attempt at doing any mods to my Safari.
Now that it's paid off and the warranty's out I can start doing things to it.

I found someone to do my whole exhaust with Magnaflow converter and muffler.
