What are timing specs for 88 Astro with 4.3L V-6

Postby RJAC [OP] » July 26th 2011, 2:41pm

What is the procedure and specifications for setting the ignition timing for a 1988 Chevy Astro with the 4.3 L engine. I have no sticker under the hood with any information. I have been told to disconnect a wire somewhere but I need to know which wire and also the timing setting in degrees before 0.
Thanks, Eric

Timing is top dead center Clamp wire on timing gun around number 1 cylinder plug wire
The other wire goes on a connector located left passanger side in the dog house if I remember it's a wire off the rottor. I no that is a
Black wire So with that top dead center on the crank,
