Can't pull codes on 2000

Postby 04chevyss [OP] » March 29th 2013, 6:46pm

I have tried a couple of scan tools, and I can't get the van to talk to the scantool, the adl connector has power and ground where it is supposed to, I tried going back with the ecm data wire and jumping it to the scan tool also, won't connect.

am I looking at a bad engine computer or body control computer?

Have you checked your fuses? I believe that the power one on the OBD2 connector is the same as the cigarette lighter/aux power ports.

yes, all fuses are in good shape, and the connector has good power to it.

Please forgive me for asking.

Do you have a check engine light on? Have you taken it to your local Orielly's and tried their scanner? It is free here in Western Washington.

Failing that, I would get the pinouts and ohm out the wires just to makes sure that they are ok.
