Airbag light on

Postby 99Astro99 [OP] » May 8th 2014, 4:35am

Evening,

just put some new exhaust donuts in and when I started the van up... Airbag light is staying on???

Recent;y installed a complete tilt column (steering wheel and airbag intact) is the only thing that I have wrokeed on relating to airbag system....

Any ideas??? have to stop and borrow a scanner as mine won't do airbag code scans

thanks

Not sure what exhaust and airbags have in common.
Maybe you knocked a sensor wire off or loose while you were under there. Mine are in the lower core support. Scanner is the place to start.

thinking....
I removed the floor mat (soaking wet from leaking windshield) and hosed the front floor out to clean it up.... going to pickup a used airbag module and see if that takes care of it.... haven't found anyone local who can pull airbag codes,,,, maybe look into buying additional modules for my scanner... just seemed odd that the light came on a week and a half after I hosed the floor out
