Interior panels

Interior panels

Postby dep281 [OP] » September 8th 2011, 1:17am

Hey Im new to this website and new to Astro van ownership. I recently purchased a 2004 Astro Cargo van and noticed some have interior panels and rubber floor mats, Mine has neither. Are these something I could obtain and if so does anyone Know where? I live on Long Island in New York and I will travel if need be. Thanks for any info Mike

Tried local junkyards? (Does LI still have any? IIRC there were several off Rt112 when I left in 1985) If the panels from a 2006 express would fit I'd give you the ones I have down here. I always took the panels out for small part & spray can storage inside the doors. You might look on Craigslist or ebay for someone parting out a van.

x2 on the salvage yards, you can get them there easy and price is fair often , if you find one that let you remove the panels they are even cheaper,

I can get you part numbers that you can search for; or a dealership can give you part numbers , I think the panels for the cargo area and sliding door are the same as the 96 and up Gen2 panels , If you buy them new they likely to be expensive especially if you buy all of them new depending on how many you need it may be better just to buy a van that does not run , like someones junker and just swap them over , there are some salvage yards that ship parts to you , to give you an idea of price difference , i can get door panels for $16 if I remove it myself , but if the salvage yard removes it it'll cost $40 a new one would be over $100 , if you want part numbers what color you looking for ?

That could be either sun fading ,, or maybe a the pigment color was a darker or lighter level when the panels were made ,or come from different lots of production :?: , ...assembly lines only assemble the parts they are given,,,...really hard to say

It's not fade. The dark panels are like charcoal grey, the whole front cabin is light grey, dash, door panels etc. It is kind of odd, but it's an ex county services rig, who knows why/what those county workers do between coffee brakes.
