90 Safari RADIO Wiring Colour Codes

I have to install a Radio/CD Player of some sort, but before I go spending hours trying to figure out the wiring, as the previous owners decided to simply hack the wires, would anyone here have the basics? The Manual I have doesn't really go 'there'... I Have figured out that the Grey and Black play a role in Dash Lighting, there is also a 4 wire strip I am assuming are for the speakers, Front L, Front R, Rear L, Rear R, ( I hope). There are a few more wires that are just hanging.... ANYONE got some more info in this area? THANKS !! :)
1990 GMC Safari SLT, V6, Auto. 376,000km's (Summer 2008 - March 2010 - Now Retired)
1996 GMC Safari SLX AWD - 235,000Km - April 2010 - Blown Head Gasket - Retired
Now-> 1992 Chev Astro Base Model. 235,000 Km as of Jan 2013.
