Recently put a double din car play stereo in and love it, but I have come across some issues. I have three leftover wires that are unaccounted for.

Purple/White
Green/White
Green

Any ideas on what these could be for and wired to on standard double din wiring harness?


On top now my right subwoofer on the rear door is not getting any signal and is making no sound where left is.

Could this be a fuse or a wiring issue?

Is it a dead speaker?

Found out it is a blown speaker that doest want to take the signal, gonna have to drill the rivets and put in new subs figured out the wiring although still have loose ends from the receiver end.

The headunit manual will have the info about the wiring coming out of it - use this to make sure you match it up to the gm harness.

Purple with white is a reverse signal I believe btw - if it's coming out of the headunit.

If those left over wire colours are from the stock radio harness then they could be this
Purple/white = LED Dimming Signal
Green/white = Vehicle Speed Sensor
Light green = Remote Radio Control

Your new head unit might not need those.
