The install and wall looks nice, ports look a bit small though, not much breathing room between the back wall and port openings. How does it hit? Love the doors.

Blastrojoe, there are a lot of things to consider.

1) What brand and model of subs?
2) Amplifier(s) brand and model?
3) Have you done the big 3 upgrade yet?

Now with 8 12s, I would definitely go with a wall or a tunnel. The tunnel would be pretty much like a 4th order which, if done right, would give more output over a normal ported enclosure.

First off, sound deadening. You're going to need to get that van dead. This is where I screwed up, I didn't deaden mine and due to that mistake I am losing SPL. The more the panels vibrate the less you'll get on a meter, if your going to compete. (BTW, I am doing 150flat db on music without the deadening)

Measuring. You are going to have to do a lot of measuring to figure out the MAX measurements in the area you're going to put the enclosure. It's been a long time since I took measurements so I can't help with that. I can't remember.

Now, for the enclosure, if you get me the brand and model of the subs, I might be able to help you out with a design and cutsheet. I do this, off and on, for the company GPI (GroundPounderzInc). So just let me know. There are a couple of us here that do this kind of thing (slamminastro is one, he also owns DC Audio).

All I have done is put in a head unit at this point, what is the big 3 upgrade? I havent picked out brands for amps and subs yet as I am on a pretty tight buget and am looking to not break a world record, I just want a clean wall and I want to be louder than the kid next to me in traffic. Thinking at this point to get wires in place and maybe start with a crossover and the front stage. Also, do you have more pics of your ride and your buddy's rides, Ive been an astro/audio fan for a while. I'm in the Orange Park, Florida area. Once again, thanks a million for your help!

I don't really have any recent pictures. Right now I'm involved in lighting, then I'll go back to the system. I do have this, though.
It's my page on the Team SoundStream website

How many subs were you thinking? Are you thinking of doing something like this or something with a lot less subs?

and we are kind of highjacking somebody else's thread/topic. That's not a good thing. Make a new topic for your question(s), just so we can keep things a little better organized.
