02 Rear dutch door speaker wires

I couldn't find a post that shows which wire is (+) and (-) for the rear dutch door speakers. Does anyone know?

I found this post but it doesn't show the in-door speakers. I have the haynes manual but it shows a light blue and dark blue wire for the right rear. But my van has a light blue with black stripe and green. The factory speaker terminals are labeled A and B. I have no idea how that relates to + and -. If they were going to print A and B why not just print + and - ? Is A and B some sort of standard someone knows about? Is there a way to test with a meter? When I test each wire with the radio on I get the same voltage reading out of both wires to ground. I get 0 between the wires.

Thank you Leann, that was so incredibly helpful. I don't understand why wire colors in the vehicle don't match the schematic. I had to go by the A/B labeling since my wire colors don't match.

Also, it would appear that the upper pillar speakers are not powered by the factory amp even though the wires go thru the connector. I was still getting sound from them after disconnecting the amp.

Does anyone know if I can use any of the existing wires as my remote signal to tun on the aftermarket amp? My aftermarket head unit has a remote signal wire but I would prefer not to run an additional wire if I'm already getting the signal through the factory wiring harness.

Because they switch wiring colors depending on what wires they have on hand at the time...or they switch mid-year because these are the colors they could get...or the dude on the line was too lazy to refill his wire spools. Who knows?

No, that's correct; the rear pillar speakers are not powered by the amp.

To make sure you have them right... grab a multimeter and stick it in voltage measurement mode. Attach one connector to each lead. Turn the stereo on, If your red connector is attached to the positive lead, the reading will show "+ve". If not, your meter will read "-ve".
