holy ****, its on sale. I think its worth it...I would just make my own if it was at the $200! I actually was going to make one, was going to have speedo (accurate to a tenth of a decimal and all the way up to 999mph), mpg, temp and a couple of other things but then I remembered I had a 1986...damned non-exsistant data line. That would have been the easiest way, but I could've ran wires from my electronic sensors. But those weren't too common in 1986 haha.

My 1986 Supra had it stock! Why can't I upgrade my astro to it???

For those of you with android smartphones, you can get an app called "Torque" for about $5 and then spend $30 on a bluetooth ALDL connector - and have the same thing.

I am not an OBD II subscriber for the Safari but I think that I'd get it for one of my other vehicles.

No, 'cause I don't have anything that's OBD II (all 3 of my vehicles are '93). I have an AutoXray CodeScout 2500

because it does OBD I, OBD II and, with an available $40 cable, OBD 1.5. I have the USB interface cable as well, which let me update the device software.

I'd love to have the iPhone device...along with a vehicle I could use it on.

I finally pulled the trigger last Friday on this product so I'm waiting on it in the mail and I'll be sure to post pics and a review! I got tired of not being able to see everything I want to see when operating my van and figure this route was cheaper and faster than trying to fit an overhead console into a cargo van not to mention it can pull my error codes and reset my CEL/SES Light if they come on for whatever reason. Remember pics and review soon!

^ your van's a '97 so it is OBD II. The transition year was '95.

I finally got my Ultra-Gauge and its awesome I highly recommend it for any of us with OBDII vehicles its a lot smaller than you would expect but 100% readable. Photos can be found here:
