Ac clutch diode

Ac clutch diode

I'm trouble ahooting the ac on my 98 astro. I know the ac relay& fuses are good but im not getting voltage to the clutch connector. Where is the ac clutch diode located? I want to test it next.

Does anyone have an acurate wiring diagram for a 98s hvac system? The one in my chiltons seems to be way off.

The diode in located in the fuse box next to the battery under the hood

Thanks for the pdf. It matches the chilton manual. But while the heating side of it matches the ac side doesn't match at all. Gonna spend more time reading up on this.

What wiring not match? there really isn't much to the circuit , a control switch , compressor , the switch that cuts off when refrigerant is too low and the blower motor , if you open the fuse box under the hood and look on the underside of the cover there is a printout of the locations of the fuses and diodes , makes it easy to locate them , it it not there then look in the owners manual , it is there as well

The wiring for tge high/ low pressure switches for one.

That post has a slightly differant diagram seems to match my astro. :D
