1999 AWD Astro-Lost high speed on blower fan

Postby BrownDog3000 [OP] » May 28th 2021, 8:59pm

I'm looking for some help on a frustrating issue. My front blower fan wasn't working at all and thanks to this site I found I could replace the resistor for the fan and that fixed it....kinda. The blower seems to work when it wants to....other times, nothing. I learned that I could unplug the connector that plugs in the fan motor for just a second and plug it back in and the fan would start working. Unfortunately, I've lost "high speed" on the fan all the time and still have the intermittent issue with the rest of the speeds. I've replaced the resistor again with no improvement....could it be the switch? Something else?

Are there not other components in the Gen II climate control / Fan control system other than "The Resistor" that can go wrong ?

Bet there is.
