Cargo/front AC only system

Cargo/front AC only system

Postby AstroOafAdventurer [OP] » June 10th 2021, 10:59pm

I'm getting ready to replace my AC compressor and get my AC working, conversion van with I'm guessing front AC only from the factory with an aftermarket rear AC unit.
I've removed the rear AC, and as well found the install directions for said unit and it appears to be an add on to the front system.
I've looked at parts diagrams etc etc but in pics it appears to have a small chamber mounted to the accumulator.
Tried finding front only system info but no dice, anyone have some help here?
Thanks!

Conversion van would be an upfitter system for rear AC. Near as I have been able to figure out that extra canister is an expansion chamber used on the factory system.

I'll put up a link for the parts diagrams when I get home tonight.

Big thanks man!! I'd been looking at gmpartsonline.net, they only had very basic digrams.

So what's the little cannister on the back of the accumulator called?

Although I see it's part of the line assembly, the installation instructions for the rear unit I had I believe refers to it as the "OEM muffler".
But either way, looks like I should have everything I need but should just have to remove a couple pieces from the rear unit.
Thanks again!
