Rear defrosters 1995 Astro

Rear defrosters 1995 Astro

Postby junkman [OP] » March 9th 2013, 11:16pm

Purchased 1995 Astro Sept 2012. I didn't realize until today that it had rear defrosters ( or that's what I think). Rods that hold rear door up wore out. Bought replacements at Auto Zone today and was reading instructions. To my surprise those wires / pieces that those "Glass lift supports" screw into are for defroster. News to me. Dash does not appear to have a defrost switch / button.

Question:

How does this work?

I'm use to the defroster that has that wire grill inside rear glass. Doesn't appear to have that and I don't see an on/ off switch for defroster.

Then you don't have it. My '95 has the lines thru it and a switch by the hatch release.
Why do it if it ain't fun?
