04 astro rad drain plug

I'm looking at the bottom right side of rad below lower rad hose and see a flat plug that is slightly recessed. Is this the drain for the rad and if it is how do I access it and use it to drain my rad.

Make sure the coolant is cold first.
Use small pliers to twist it counter-clockwise. The plug will not come out; just a few turns and the coolant will come out of a small tube at the bottom. Undo the rad cap for maximum flow.

Thanks I.ll give it a try, but what an unusual set up to drain the rad. I figure GM would put a winged type petcock

is there any special tool for this i can purchase at napa or crappy tire to loosen this rad plug(cap)
