VOV Orifice Tube?

Is there an orifice tube in the rear A/C? (I know where front one is)
Anyone ever tried the more expensive VOV "variable" orifice tubes?

No orifice tube in the rear. It uses a, what's it called...expander valve, something like that.

I tried a variable orifice tube. Tried one designed for extreme heat climates like Phoenix, against the suggestion of my friend, a mechanic for city owned vehicles. He was right. It just never seemed to allow cooling. Replaced it with the 5 dollar regular tube. Same kind they put in our police cars, fire trucks, street dept vehicles etc.

I have seen those VOV things or whatever you call them at the root of some AC issues.
They won't allow the correct amount of liquid in the line and a very warm car interior.
You will regret using one if you do. I used to see them from time to time. Not much
these days.

I decided against the VOV after finding many negative reviews.

I bought one once, and it ended up not fitting, so I took it back and got the standard orifice.
