Pure lip service in this day and age. I must say that my most recent GM vehicle and first purchase from a dealer (2016 Malibu 1.5L) was a supreme disappointment, and GM did nothing to help. 25 year loyalty to GM, and they refused to admit my 70,000 mile engine had blowby. Also, the 6T40 automatic transmission would occasionally hum loudly and refused to shift to 6 gear until I let out of the throttle or cancelled cruise control.

Selling dealer never called me. Had to go to a dealer forty miles away, who parroted the modern-day GM-speak "not out of spec" and "could not duplicate concern". Even tried to blame me for the method by which I discovered it -- pulling the oil fill cap at idle, which is a very common test for blowby and PCV issues.

The damned thing would spit oil all over the rocker cover, the air filter box, and the top side of the passenger fender in 10-30 seconds. You could put a sheet of paper over top of the fill hole and it would rattle from the blowby, and turn it brown with oil spatter, also in 10-30 seconds. I remember dragging a $200 Buick with 180,000 miles out of the bushes, that didn't do this -- Nor has any other vehicle I've ever owned done this.

When the CV axles started going clickety-clack on a hard turn from a dead stop 10,000 miles later, that was enough for me. Sorry to say, I traded it in for a 2015 Toyota Camry. They just don't build 'em or stand behind 'em like they used to, folks.
