HI guys and gals :
I finally ave the hieght i want front and rear using 2" drop spindles and a 1" drop spring Belltech # 4250 Great coils !!!
and a DJM flip in the rear , although I can see a slight inward negative camber on the front wheels .
what is the prosedure to bringte upper control arm out to correct this ? is there ajustment at the arm itself or a kit I can buy to bring it out I have a 99 Thanks ...
Sweet van! Love the all white with the body cladding...one of my faves
It is my understanding that the alignment can be brought back to stock specs no problem with a 1" shorter coil. The spindle doesn't affect alignment at all(or shouldn't)
An alignment shop is recommended vs DIY.
If you look at upper A-Frame there is a bar that has shims in it.Front and back.If you remove same thickness front and back your caster will stay the same. That will give you back the positive camber you lost.Same amount must come out of all 4 or you will change handling. This may be a little to much for a new person doing it.But that how it done.I been doing this stuff forever.
Thanks I will scope around there to see what you mean I did see the Bar but not the shims so if i remove thickness it tilts the wheel out right ? since my wheels are laening inward al little I took it in before when I just had coils not drop spindles to have a alingment but I know for sure they did nothing to the camber .....
This a rude drawing but you can see what you looking for.The thick red at top bolts with nuts on them the thin lines are the shims which are between the frame and rod for not knowing what it really called is.Top A-Frame under mud flap you cant see it from top like most cars.Loosen bolts and they slide right out.

It was after I added the drop coil 1" belltech I cut a 1/2 coil as well to go down another 1/4 inch or so it is not as bad if I only had drop coils alone but it is noticable A good alignment shop should correct this but I know the 2 previous shops I went to over the years did not do anthing but toe angles . Thanks for the diagram it was hard to see around that mudgaurd ..
Best bet is to take it to a shop that will set caster, camber & toe. If you adjust one, it will have an effect on the other two unless as stated above, you add the same thickness shims front & rear, then the caster will be unchanged on that side. Some vehicles are more sensitive to it than others.
There was a way to figure out what shims you'd need but it's been 14 years since I've messed with it. IIRC it was something along the lines of a 2:1 ratio of degrees of change caster to camber. It's not coming back to me right now though.
Ha ha thanks that's funny the big ripp!!!!
Yeh I need to go to a legit alignment specialty shop there is one around the corner that's all they do is suspension and alignment with the fan shroud off I could easily get to the camber shims at upper control arm there was like 5 shims at the rear bolt 4 the same size and 1 thin one and on the front bolt there was 3 on one side and 2 on the other side I took 1 out the front and left 3 at each side rear bolt wheel came out alot but I am going to get a alignment the right way
