Iv got an 89 astro. Looking to do some front end upgrades. Not real sure where to start with looking for parts. Dose the astor run the same k member as a camaro or any of GM (?) Body suspensions?????? Not sure what they mean by F body and A body and so on. Can anyone get me started in the rite direction?????? :feedback:

I've only read that the sub-frame (K-member / cross member) is similar to the F-Body, while the suspension is similar to the B-Body. The M/L vans are understandably more beefed up than either.

What kind of upgrades are you looking for? With a 1989 van I'd guess the springs are pretty worn and if the shocks are the originals they should be replaced. Fresh shocks and springs make a huge difference on an old van. Some new front sway bar links might be good too. Check the A-arm bushings for big cracks, they could be dry rotted.
