Hello from Northern Va

I found this forum when looking for a programmer and am impressed. I'm wondering why I never searched before. I'm on my second Astro. My first one was a '93 AWD passenger EXT that I got 165k out of. I gave it to my son(16 at the time)when I got my 2000, and within months, he bent up the front suspension on a curb. Sad to see it go. It did go to a guy who was willing to put money into it, so not too sad.

I'm short on cash, so thanks but no thanks. I'm going to try a sledge to the metal, and encourage the plastic back into shape .

And I just saw your "update" thread. It's not quite the van in your signature, but a nice van anyway.

Yea, it's a slow process, I did that rendering probably 4 months ago. I have all the parts (Wings West Body kit, Carbon Fiber Hood, Cats Eye Grill, Angel Eye Headlights, Etc.), it's just been a matter of prepping and painting the stuff. A lot of it is damaged so I have to fiberglass stuff back together, etc. But it's slowly getting there.

As far as the bumper, it's just a bumper cover taking up space in my shed. At this point $10 can have it if you wanted to come and get it. :whistle:

Well, at that price, I'm sure we can work something out, providing it fits a 2000. I was going to try that (relatively) new Krylon plastic spray paint, but this sounds much easier.

I dine at Johnnys on Park street on Thursday nights, you should stop by and hang with us old guys. I get there about 6:30. :cheers:

That's funny, I'm right down the street from Johnny's. My folks have been there, but I've never been there. I think they told me about the "trash" pizza there. As far as the bumper, I'm sure you've had it all apart and know how it all goes together? I think I've had my Grill of 6 times in this year alone, and have it down to a 5 minute process at the most. Do you go to any cruise-ins in the area? I've been waiting till my car got a little further along so I didn't totally embarrass myself. Maybe I'll swing by tonight, but I can't hang long, got a birthday party that I don't want to go to. :swerve:

I would describe the pizza as okay, but the rest of the menu is pretty good. As for the bumper, no, I haven't had it off even once. I've been fairly disgusted about the incident, and just shake my head every time I see it. :banghead:

It seems that, at 51, I'm a beaten man. No cruise ins either. The Astro is in no shape to be paraded. Maybe one day.

No, just the bumper is bent. But I was looking at your stuff in the classified, and am interested in the grill, and maybe the shocks. My grill is looking a bit faded and chipped just from the highway. But not now, maybe next week. I'll be lucky to afford dinner. :violin:

I'm a little crowded in the van, as I have a sofa being returned from my Daughters apartment, but I think I can get that in there. Thanks, and I'll see you later. I get there about 6:30 usually. The guy I dine with also has an Astro!!

Usually there until 8:00. If that's not good for you, I'm sure we can meet at another time. Hold off on the shocks for now, but I'm interested in the grill. I've already bought the paint for the bumper.

I also found and bought a song on Amazon. Track 9 on the Rock 4 Life album?
