Another New member Intro-94 GMC Safari

Just joined the forum. Been a long time admirer of these types of vehicle and finally after looking at them for a few years and searching for a few months bought a 1994 GMC Safari. It is a little old and tired but the body is nice and clean and the powertrain is strong so it should be good for a few years yet. I really wanted the newer style but could not find one in my area with a clean body.

I will post a few pictures of it when it gets back from the shop. (getting the safety done so I can register it).

I have an idea of what I want to turn it into but for now I am going to drive it as it is...

anyway, thanks for this forum, its been a great help so far and will be to come

So here she is...paid $800 and dropped another $1000 for repairs to have it safety. New brake lines (complete) new Rotors, pads, calipers, rear drum, 2 tires (used) and a bunch of little stuff to safety it...its clean inside and out, almost no rust to speak of (which is why I bought it). Motor runs good and strong, trans shifts fine and there was a lot of stuff done by the previous owners. I am the 3rd owner...last people (family) had it for the last 9 years. Still need to do a full tune on it...but that will be later once I run a few tanks of gas thought it....



There is a few little things, like the shift linkage is loose, have a hard time getting it into "O" drive. and the steering feels loose as well, compared to my 05 SV6...but I don't expect it to be like new, just don't want it to be a money pit either.

Once I have all the repairs paid off and if I sell my motorcycle I will do some stuff to it...drop spindles, flip kit, wheels and tires...etc

My kids want to paint it flat black...I was thinking more of a tanish cream color (two tone) with white and then baby moons on red rims...real classic look
