As a service tech on the road for past 21 years the company I worked for had many an astro/ safari in the fleet . ok so I had a 99, put about 300 on that since new, had a 94 got use took it to 350km (not miles) a 2003 put about 100 on that a 2001 put about 80 on that and my last and now gone a 2003 , now I'm stuck with a nissan anyway I'm going to post a question in the engine section , dont have a van at this moment but I think I got one picked out just want some input.

Gonna try to follow rules as best I can . Never been a member of an on line forum before so please bear with me if I screw up....

Thank you and happy to be aboard.

I just joined up yesterday to hopefully get some advice concerning the AWD on my 2005 Astro. No pics right now but I’ll get some. I’ve owned this van since 2014 after my 98 Astro which I owned for 12 years bit the dust.

Welcome to the site! That is a nice clean van you have there.

Cheaper to piece the lift together yourself if you choose to.
If you don't care for the transfer case shifter in that JOR kit, take a look at Mmusicman's shift setup, or Gavio's IMO they are both a lot nicer.
Metro makes a nice 2DIN kit with the wiring harness and antenna adapter https://amzn.to/33d6EYR or without https://amzn.to/332TXj4

This is my 95 astro gladiator conversion. The paint was peeling so bad painting was my first priority. I used raptor liner for the job by with a combination of sprayer, roller, and brush.

Oh man I can't believe my covers have been pulled already lol! So I'm the adult poster child of ADHD and am simultaneously working on finishing the exterior paint job, doing the floor, I've been stalled after the subfloor, just need to start laying down the vinyl planks. I'm also around a quarter of the way into repainting my cab, using chalk paint and distressing it because I haven't seen that yet. Honestly it's all interfering with breaking my cherry and doing the tune up this poor lady needs. I forgot to mention that I just bought a set of wheels to get these 18's off the van but keep trying to buy more wheels before I have tires put on and get em mounted. I'm kind of a professional hot mess so my build dairy is gonna read like William Burroughs I'm sure.
