Well hello Forum . My name is Phil and I'm in Branson Mo . I have a 95 Artro conversion van and the good 'ol gal finely died on us just at 250 g on the ticker . It needs a lot of stuff new brakes rotors shocks , , The motor hits but wont keep running , and Really I'm tired of messing with it and bought a 4 x 4 a while back .
But all is not a bleak as it seems for the Ol Gal , I have a project to turn the body into a RV camper mounted on a 16 foot flat bed trailer . Which makes it into a toy hauler !
What I wont be using the entire front end , driver / passenger doors , Motor , tranny , rear end front steering parts , Computer, dash , all that stuff in the cab . So its up for grabs and cheep . What I will be keeping is the gas tank and fuel gage as it will serve as a fuel supply for fueling generators and the toys for extended stays out in the woods. I will be keeping the wheels too . So if you need stuff drop a line . You wont find a better price anywhere .
Any Info on pulling the body is welcome . Here is a drawing of the project . Enjoy

95 Astro reuse ?

Postby e1cycle [OP] » December 6th 2010, 6:51am

Greetings forum , My name is Phil and I'm in Branson Missouri . i have a 95 Astro conversion van 4.3 lL 2 wd with over 250 g on the ticker , but it died , the motor turns over and hits but will not crank , It sat up with out being ran and I'm just tired of messing with it . I bought a 4 x 4 a while back anyway , and I ride my KLR mostly anyway .
I have a use for the body as it will become mounted on a flat bed 16 foot trailer and become our toy hauler and camper  .
So I have the entire front end , motor tranny , rear end , running boards, front seats all up for grabs cheep.
I'm keeping the wheels and the gas tank and fule guage . for a supply tank to fuel our toys with for extended stays out in the woods . Its a fitting end to a van that has served me well . So if you need stuff drop me a line Off board as this is not the For sale topic , but I would like any info on making pulling the body easier .
here is a drawing of the project , enjoy .

Hi Jason , Thanks , Grate to know this now . But I have other plans for the Body , but the stuff i dont need is in the for sale section And I'll let it go for Cheep ! :auto-camptrailer: heres the link to the for sale page viewtopic.php?f=69&t=9931
Ive been looking for a toy hauler but DANG! their $$$ !! And I'v always been a DIY kinda guy , So heres what I have in mind . It seems very practical to me . With a large on board electric gas station too! I have not seen ANY toy haulers with a on board gas station  Very aerodynamic to pull too . What do you think? My wife did this when she saw it
