My transmission mount made a horrible racket. Thumping and carrying on when it was bad.

Ive got the Journey Off Road's 2"-5" Super Lift Kit for a 1996-2005 Kit on it.

The kits been on for 30k and the noises are new, it mainly does it when going in reverse under full or near full turn then going forward, or when offroading it does it often when flexing of the frame occurs over small ditches and changes in flex. Here are some photos of some bushings that dont look amazing

See I just look at that and think, "hmmmm...the bushings look old so it's time to replace all of them." Regardless of noises.

No squeaks on mine.
Body lifts leave the front suspension stock.
But worn bushing certainly can squeak... lifted or not.

At 140K you can likely expect Control Arm / Motor / Transmission / Body / Leaf Spring / Differential mounts/bushings.
There are poly replacements for nearly all of them. The differential bushings may be the exception.

Old rubber dries out and turns hard losing the ability to flex. When you added the lift. You changed the working range to further aggravate the deterioration. That is why it showed up so soon after adding the lift.

You could always temporarily try a little oil or grease on those bushings...

Oh that.

Add an XT-45 DML to the bottom of the SLK and you will definitely see improvement. Don't use an XLT-45, just an XT-45. And don't be tempted to use the XD-4 or the XD-5.

Try again in English. What is an XT-45, DML, SKL, XLT-45, XD-4, and XD-5? Complete words would be a big help for people to understand what it is you are trying to tell them.

Energy suspension or prothane make the poly kits in red or black. My understand is the black are supposed to have graphite in them to help reduce the squeaking common with poly bushings.

If you think your going to do them all at one time. Plan for a good week of work. It is usually better to tackle them as you are working on the area the are in. Doing a body lift - Do the body mounts. Replacing the ball joints - Knock out the control arm bushings.

Polyurethane is more stable a a bit stiffer than regular rubber so the ride will feel a little firmer and you may notice more vibration and shock from the road.

I used Energy Suspention on my chev for the front end and the rear trailing arms. They come with a tub of real thick lube you apply to the bushings before you put them on.

Being as my chev is a garage ornament and never moves much. I can't really comment on long term. But my brother used the same thing on his charger. He drove it all summer. He is a little ahead of me lucky SOB. Anyway it didn't squeak if it is applied right.

Mine has went only a mile or so over the years with no motor in it. But so far so good. Yes I am a Big Kid I took a few go Kart rides when I could getting it on and off of the trailers. Oh boy put the truck and trailer at the bottom of the hill I will roll down to it. Easier and more fun.

According to their FAQ, only "select" black bushings have graphite in them.
