S10 leaf springs e-brake cable interference

My e brake cable got stuck between the overload springs and the regular ones and rubbed into the sidewall of the tire on the left rear

Has anyone seen this? I was thinging if cutting 2 in of overload off the end so it can’t get caught when flexing

I cut one inch off the overload and now the cable clears normally

I don't think so, mine goes under the spring as well.

I just put it under the over load spring, and pulled on the e brake cable bracket to apply enough tension on it that it couldn't get flipped up over like yours did.

hmm weird, mine was under the overload when I put them on, but seemed to get caught at some point and ruined a tire
but cutting a bit off seems to be the fix.
