2" front body lift

2" front body lift

Postby HawkmanAWD [OP] » April 19th 2015, 4:06pm

Hello everyone,
New boy on the block, would like to ask a question???? I want to lift front of a 2003 Astro Extended Van AWD. I think that a front 2" body lift would work wonders, for me. Can some of you folks that have done this , are there any problems like do I need to buy a longer bolt, are there any thing that will have to be replaced. Thanks in advance HawkmanAWD

Lots of people have done the lift, yes you will need longer bolts, 2" longer for a 2in lift.

You'll need to relocate your bumper up 2" to keep the same look as before, or you'll have a 2" gap between body and bumper....

It just so happens I have a set of overland vans bumper relocation brackets that I just removed from my van when I installed my ARB Winch Bumper.

Pm me if you want to purchase them.

SB seems like an alright guy, so he's probably okay to deal with. I'd jump on those bumper brackets if I didn't already have them. The OLV bumper brackets are the way to go - heavy-duty and multi-position adjustable.

Stock body mount bolts are 96mm length, my OLV 2" body lift kit had 130mm grade 8.8 hardware with the 2" blocks. It's more than enough thread length but if you feel like going a full 2" longer on hardware then 150mm.
